Wedding Checklist

13 April 2016

Thank you for all of your sweet comments regarding L and I's engagement news last week! We cannot wait to start this next chapter of our lives together. I recapped our engagement story last week and am looking forward to sharing many more details of the wedding planning process on this blog and instagram.

I think it's important to preface this post by letting you know that this is a project that I have been working on for a while now. Long before I opened my Etsy shop and was engaged, I had been designing a wedding planner that could be downloaded, printed, and digitally distributed. I had the best of intentions, however I kept putting it off and eventually grew tired of the format and original design. I have since begun updating and redesigning the original planner and will hopefully have it up and ready to go sooner than later. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you the five page wedding checklist that will be included in the planner. (:

These five pages are a fraction of the amount of content that will be in the final planner, however, they are the most important. My goal was to design something that was clean and easy to read, as well as a resource to keep your thoughts and ideas organized. Each "time period" is squared off with the corresponding month(s) until the big day, which is labeled above each box.

The extra space makes it easy to check everything off, or circle items that have yet to be completed. If I forgot to include something (which is certainly a possibility, as all brides have a unique list), there are 15 lines on the fifth page where you are able to include other important details.

I put aside a binder, with a bookplate that has our hashtag to work as our wedding bible. All important documents, checklists, receipts, details, invoice's, EVERYTHING wedding related will live in the binder. Once it is full and working for me, I will give you a tour of that as well!

There aren't enough dancing emojis to express how pleased I am that this checklist has been designed, printed and put in my binder. Having something that L and I can reference to throughout the planning process is gold!

WEDDING MAD LIBS

Wedding Mad Libs!

24 February 2016

Hot off the press, I have a new printable in the shop!
In an effort to design something new each month and continue to build up my little Etsy shop, I have recently added Wedding Mad Libs!

I'm sure you've seen this same idea floating around pinterest before, so I thought, why not design something similar for my sister's upcoming nuptials! As the self-appointed maid of honor for the wedding that she refuses to make a big deal about, I am secretly planning all kinds of fun things that I'll bombard her with later. In fact, as soon as I hit publish on this post, she'll probably send me a screen shot of this with the stink eye...

These wedding mad libs are so much fun for your guests to fill out! Whether you use them for your guest book, or to track who came they're great for receiving wedding advice and feedback from your seasoned (or not so seasoned) guests!

I printed these on a metallic cardstock and love how they turned out! I would not recommend printing these on regular printer paper -- use cardstock!

The download is a full page (8.5" x 11"), however there are two printables per page. The picture below represents how the PDF will print after you download (minus the "draft" watermark). Just cut right down the middle!

Okemo Ski Trip Recap Video & a Free Printable!

16 February 2016

One of my recent favorite things to do is to record little clips from trips that we take and compile them into a fun little mini video.

I made our first one back in August that recapped our trip to Myrtle Beach, SC and have slowly been adding little videos to my youtube channel since. There's been the Myrtle Beach trip, Macy Cat's Purina Muse ad, and most recently the Sister Dance! Going into our annual ski trip at Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, Vermont I knew that I wanted to put together another video to capture all of the good times and fun memories with the family!

While the quality of these are less than perfect, it's the best I can get out of my handy iPhone 5, and I'm okay with that!

In addition to this video, I wanted to share with you a printable that I designed to help make sure I packed everything for our last ski trip.

Follow this link to google docs to print a copy for yourself (:
I'm thinking about designing an adventure kit for my Etsy shop, this would be included in it as well as other vacation-y printables.

I hope wherever you are you're getting lots of snow and gearing up for a fun and snowy trip!! (:

LOVE Coupons for Valentine's Day!

25 January 2016

The day of love is right around the corner and will be here before you know it! I asked L last night what he wanted to do for Valentine's Day, however we ended up shaking our hands and laughing... after all, we end up working every. single. valentines day anyways. What can ya do? We usually like to enjoy some yummy Italian cuisine in the North End (L'Osteria is one of my favorites!) and have a movie night afterwards! It's the best and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Needless to say, per our conversation on the topic last night, I felt inspired to put together a fun book of LOVE COUPONS to add to my Etsy shop. Homemade gifts are always the most meaningful, and this felt like a fun way for people to distribute something special to your special someone!

I included a front page and back page for the book, as well as a page of additional blank coupons for you to personalize. Don't worry! All of the coupons are very PG and offer a fun pink ombre theme.
I ended up printing mine on shiny card stock paper (the pictures do not do this paper justice) and bound them all together with some twine!

Check out my ETSY SHOP here and some other ROTATING FREE PRINTABLES here.

What kind of fun DIY Valentine's Day gifts do you have up your sleeve for your significant other?

Health and Wellness Panner

29 December 2015

I'm really stinkin' excited to get this planner live for everyone today! With the new year right around the corner, I for one am definitely someone who likes to set small resolutions here and there, one of which is to continue to make an effort to live a healthy lifestyle. I thought it would be fun to add a health and wellness planner to my Etsy shop that I can reference to throughout the year to keep me motivated.

With my primary intention being to help keep me on track by working out, eating appropriately, and tracking my progress I have condensed most of my ideas into six EASY pages that make living a healthy lifestyle fun and ORGANIZED!

Page 1 - Measurements and Goals
The sole purpose of this page is to set a large goal (whether it be fitness related or not, who cares?), accompanied by a handful of smaller goals that you would like to see happen. Remember, a goal without a deadline is a dream so MAKE SURE YOU SET AN END DATE! Once you meet your BIG goal, print off another copy of this page and set ANOTHER attainable goal! There is also a section towards the bottom of the page where you can take measurements before and after if that is something you are interested in recording!

Page 2 - Workout Schedule
When I have something written down in front of my face, I am 10 times more likely to actually do it! This schedule is designed for 7 days at a time where you can record the type of exercise you will be doing each day, an area to jot down the kind of workout that you completed, the number of hours of sleep you got that night (sleep IS SO IMPORTANT), as well as a water bottle checklist to keep you on track with your water intake. After you complete a week, save the sheet so that you can reference back to it later on!

Page 3 - Meal Plan
Eating right and consuming appropriate proportions is KEY to feeling your best. When you have your meal plan written out for you in advance, and your groceries in check you will feel motivated to stick to that plan!

Page 4 - Monthly Dinners
This page is for the super organizer in you. Feel on top of the world with every single dinner for the entire month planned out beforehand. It will do wonders.

Page 5 - Progress Report
One of my favorite pages, the progress report was designed to track where you are in terms of weight. Record your Current weight and goal weight on the y-axis, and the week on the x-axis. This is a fun way to connect the dots and track the progress of your journey. Sometimes having it drawn out in front of you (literally) is the best dose of motivation you can get!

Page 6 - Recipes
Having your healthiest recipes separated and on hand helps to influence your mind to make the right dinner decision. Keep them on this page, or cut them out... it's up to you! It's also incredibly easy to snap a picture of the finished meal and tape it onto the back!

I hope you enjoy this planner as much as I enjoyed creating it! I have this listed for sale in my Etsy shop for $3, however LIFE AS YOU LIVE IT readers can receiver 50% off through the end of 2015 with the code LIFEASYOULIVEIT2015.

Thank you and have a wonderful NEW YEAR!

KAYLIEDESIGNS - My new Etsy shop featuring instant downloads!

17 November 2015

I'm really excited to share with you a little project that I have been working on for   S O M E   T IM E   now. I briefly mentioned it a few weeks ago, and I haven't had the chance to really feature it until now!

I recently opened a little Etsy shop under the name "KAYLIEDESIGNS" that features some printables that I have created here and there. I've always been a huge list maker, so it only seemed appropriate to design a streamlined look that could offer a hand when it came to organizing my life!

While you'll see that I only have three items for sale in my shop right now:
  1. Christmas Planner (13 pages)
  2. Pet Care Kit (3 pages)
  3. Medical Information Kit (4 pages)
I will slowly but surely be adding more and more inventory as I continue to design and create them! I'm bursting with ideas and am trying to allocate an appropriate amount of time towards my new "hobby". Sometimes I'll be up all night designing something to look over and see it's 3am... what the what!? I'm having SO much fun with it!

It is still 100% in the beginning stages but I'm very excited to work on it and see how it goes!!

I'm currently offering LIFE AS YOU LIVE IT readers 50% off in my shop with the coupon code LIFEASYOULIVEIT2015 until the end of the year (December 31, 2015), so please check things out, share with your friends, and let me know what you think! I'm also offering rotating free printables under the "PRINTABLES" tab at the top of this page. This will take you to a google docs page where you can download it and print from there!

Thank you guys so much! Let me know what you think (:
